pond construction

Permit is Required.  No person, firm or corporation shall construct, install, or enlarge a pond without having first submitted an application and plans thereof to the Zoning Administrator.  All ponds must be designed by a registered landscape architect or civil engineer before a permit can be issued.   See Zoning Resolution, Article 3-315 of the General Regulations, for pond regulations for Rochester Township.

The Lorain Soil and Water Conservation District put together a list of professional engineers who have expressed interest in doing pond design in our township.  These are all engineers registered by the State of Ohio and thus fully capable of designing ponds.
