ACCEPTABLE MATERIALS THAT

 CAN BE RECYCLED

paper

Newspapers, magazines, cardboard, computer paper, junk mail, envelopes, catalogs, cereal and dry food boxes, telephone books, manilla and colored folders, pizza boxes (without the grease)

Unacceptable:  textbooks, candy wrappers, dirty plates, cups, napkins, facial tissues, and paper towels.

PLASTIC

Soda, milk, sports drinks, water, laundry detergent, contact solution, shampoo / conditioner, juice (lids are ok if left on empty bottle)

Unacceptable:  Plastic bags, VHS tapes, butter and whipped topping tubs, plastic plates, cups, and utensils, food trays (frozen food), toys or plastic wrappers/packaging, film containers, oil jugs, medical sharp or medical waste.

CANS
(ALUMINUM & sTEEL)

Aluminum cans, steel cans (soup, food, and aerosol)

Unacceptable:  Scrap metal, pots & pans, coat hangers, paint cans


glass

Glass bottles and jars - Clear, brown, blue and green;  Please rinse and remove lids

Unacceptable:  Window glass, drinking glasses, fish tanks, light bulbs
